Newburgh Open Studios (NOS) is organized by Michael Gabor—in honor of his late partner Gerardo Castro—and a team of volunteers. The tour grew out of their small business Newburgh Art Supply with the desire to promote and support the burgeoning arts community that’s grown around them.
They opened Newburgh Art Supply on Liberty Street in 2008 and it now occupies a historic building at 5 Grand Street, north of Washington’s Headquarters. The store keeps dependable hours and stocks a curated inventory of art supplies for students, dabblers and professionals.
Please visit the store in person for NOS posters (available soon), maps (available starting at 10am on Sat. September 27th and Sun. September 28th) and to chat with Michael about your art projects and materials.
